There is immense excitement amongst the audience to witness the much awaited Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor as the yesteryear actor. While the audience is eagerly waiting for the trailer of the film, makers Rajkumar Hirani and Vinod Chopra showcased the trailer to Ranbir Kapoor’s father Rishi Kapoor. The veteran actor was pleasantly surprised at the fine performance of his son.

On watching the trailer, a teary-eyed Rishi Kapoor said, “The way Rajkumar Hirani has presented Ranbir is the biggest Superb thing, the boy has really done well. I am so proud of him. I swear on Neetu and Ranbir, I did not think it was Ranbir, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt.” The proud dad further added saying, “You don’t know how emotionally triggered I am right now at the point where Vinod (Chopra) and Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) have shown me this trailer. The first appearance of Ranbir from the jail, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt.”

After praising the young actor, Rishi Kapoor jokingly said, “I shouldn’t praise him so much, He’s good and still got to improve, and still got to do good work. I love you my boy (Ranbir)”.

The biopic depicts the various stages of Sanjay Dutt’s life, the teaser of which has already piqued the interests of the audience. Sanju showcases the highs and lows of Sanjay Dutt’s life-giving an insight into the unbelievable story of the actor. The teaser has garnered immense appreciation for the apt portrayal of Sanjay Dutt’s life. While Ranbir Kapoor is being showered with praises for his amazing transformation into each phase of Sanjay Dutt’s life, Rajkumar Hirani is hailed for his realistic portrayal.

The director released multiple posters of the film, revealing the varied looks of Ranbir Kapoor from the biopic. All the posters have gained immense appreciation from the audience and critics alike for the striking resemblance to Sanjay Dutt.

Written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film will also stars an ensemble cast in addition to Ranbir Kapoor which includes Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor and Dia Mirza amongst others. Rajkumar Hirani RECREATES Sanjay Dutt’s house for Sanju and it is UNBELIEVABLE!

Ace director Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming directorial Sanju a biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt is one of the most awaited films of the year 2018. The teaser of the movie left many surprised as the lead actor Ranbir Kapoor (who’s playing the titular role of Sanjay Dutt in the movie) strikingly resembled Sanjay Dutt in most of the scenes.

We hear that that Rajkumar Hirani, who is known for his detailing in every aspect of the film, has left no stone unturned to aptly portray life of Sanjay Dutt through the film. Prepping up for the movie in the pre –production stage, the director had to recreate the house of the actor where he lived with his parents.

While we all know that the house is no longer there, the director took help from the popular actor’s sister Priya Dutt to recreate the same house for the shooting of the film.

In fact, it is being said that he personally reached out to Priya who further helped him with photographs and home videos of their ancestral home.

A source revealed, “Rajkumar Sir wanted to portray Sanjay’s life right from childhood as is and hence we all got into recreating the entire set up for the house where Sanjay originally resided with his parents Sunil and Nargis Dutt. The set creation took about 25 days and once it was ready, the cast and crew including the visitors on the sets were shocked and amazed to see the exact replication of the original house.”

Written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film stars an ensemble cast in addition to Ranbir Kapoor, which includes Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor and Dia Mirza amongst others. Sonam Kapoor’s FIRST look from Sanju out! Ranbir Kapoor as a lost-in-love, young Sanjay Dutt looks impressive!

Sonam Kapoor’s look from Rajkumar Hirani’s much publicised Sanju is out and we are impressed already. The film is set to release next month and as promised, the filmmaker is all set to release every actor’s look from the film every day till May 30 which is the official date of the release of the trailer. In the poster, Sonam is seen in a jubilant mood with a young Sanjay Dutt portrayed oh-so-so perfectly by Ranbir! From this we get to see his merry, chocolate boy side which is so different from the grungy, action hero type image portrayed to us till now. Sonam’s look is total retro and suits her perfectly. In an interview Sonam had refused to give any details about her role to media but when quizzed if she is playing Madhuri Dixit in the film, she replied in negative saying that she is not playing an actress in the film. The latest poster of Sanju unveils yet another facade of the colourful life of Sanjay Dutt. The newest aspect of the film showcases a free spirited Ranbir Kapoor playing Dutt along with Sonam Kapoor who will be seen as his love interest in the film.

With Sonam Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani is all set to give the audience glimpses into the crazy, controversial love life of Sanjay Dutt in the 80s. After intriguing the fans with multiple posters showcasing the varied looks of Sanjay Dutt spanning his life, director Rajkumar Hirani unveils yet another poster of the much awaited biopic. The latest poster introduces Sonam Kapoor for the first time. While earlier posters and teaser revealed only Ranbir Kapoor’s looks in the film, the latest poster gives us a glimpse of another character for the first time.  The teaser showcased a young Sanju mention about 308 women being a part of his life, the poster further pumps up excitement levels, to know yet another aspect of one of Bollywood’s most interesting actors.

Sanju new poster: Sonam Kapoor gives us serious Neerja feels as she brings back the 80s as Ranbir Kapoor’s girlfriend

Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju trailer will be dropped on May 30 and the filmmaker has promised us that he will release the look of every actor till then. Today, he posted a still from a movie which showcases the crazy lover boy side of the actor and it has Sonam Kapoor as his girlfriend from his early days. Sanju portrays an incredible story of Sanjay Dutt which his closed ones claim is stranger than fiction. Well, Sonam’s role in the movie was touted to be similar to Tina Munim or Madhuri Dixit’s real life characters. On being asked about the same, she has revealed that she has a small but important part in the movie and she is not playing an actress. Well, while the makers keep the suspense on about Sonam’s character we could not help but get major Neerja feels when we saw this still.

One look at Sonam’s retro look and we are transported back to her 2016 release, Neerja. With a similar hair do and that charming smile, she gave us strong déjà vu feels which has piqued our interest to see her as a lady love to young Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju will release next month and there is already a lot of buzz around the film, thanks to its controversial subject and the fact that it is about the real life story of the resident bad boy of Bollywood: Sanjay Dutt. Many close to the actor reveal that his journey and life experiences are stranger than fiction and therefore will make for a fantastic plot. None other than Ranbir, who is one of the finest actors in the industry today, will portray his character and has already STUNNED masses with his transformation into Dutt for the movie. It is common knowledge that Aamir Khan was approached to play Sunil Dutt, Sanju’s dad, but he turned it down. Aamir just came out clean about this matter and we were rather surprised when we heard about his clarification on not doing the role.

Aamir said that Rajkumar Hirani offered him a good role of the late actor politician and it had many layers as it traced a rather complicated relationship between the father and his prodigal son but the only character which totally excited him was Ranbir’s key role. After reading it, he told Hirani that if he does the movie, it would only be for the central character. The role, according to Aamir, was so well written that he was totally enamoured by it. Unfortunately, Raju Hirani could not offer Sanju’s role to Aamir because he had already signed Ranbir Kapoor for the same.

Aamir’s next movie is Thugs Of Hindostan which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles. It is an action adventure film based in pre-independence period and will showcase Aamir Khan has the ultimate Thug!

Here’s how Rishi Kapoor reacted to the trailer of his son Ranbir Kapoor’s film Sanju

Well, many films which feature Ranbir Kapoor as the leading man have been shown to Rishi Kapoor. The veteran actor, however, has never overtly praised his son’s work sticking to the fact that he has been one of the biggest critics of his son. However, we hear that the teaser of Sanju has left Kapoor senior heavily impressed.

For the uninitiated, the teaser of Sanju that released recently showcased the varied avatars sported by real life Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt in his life span. The film is expected to showcase his life until he was released from imprisonment. The said teaser of Sanju was welcomed with mixed reactions but if there was one factor that everyone agreed to was the striking resemblance.

Many accepted that Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor had a striking similarity in the trailer and that the Kapoor lad imbibed Dutt’s behavior with aplomb. Similar was the opinion of Rishi Kapoor. He was not only impressed with his son’s homework on Sanjay Dutt but he was completely blown away with it. Furthermore, the veteran actor was shown some more glimpses of the film to get his opinion. Seeing it, Rishi Kapoor seems to have had a tear or two in his eyes, according to recent reports.

These reports also suggest that when Ranbir Kapoor was told about the reaction, he too got emotional after listening to his father’s reaction on the film. It is not a new fact that Ranbir Kapoor has always respected and admired his father’s work. He also considers his opinion on films as very integral and hence owing to the same, his reaction on Sanju left Ranbir overwhelmed.
