This will be the first time when Huma Qureshi will be sharing screen space with South megastar Rajinikanth. If that wasn’t enough, the actress will be seen in an unconventional and strong role in the superstar’s film Kaala. But besides these known facts, let us tell you that her character will also undergo many changes as it will span not one but three decades!

Recent reports have it that Kaala will see Huma Qureshi playing a 20 year old to a 50 year old and will see her character mature over time. The recent poster of the film introduced us to the actress’ role in the film – Zareena. The actress has shot for the film’s schedule for over 45 days.

Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, Kaala is set amidst the slums of Dharavi. Rajinikanth’s role is expected to be a grey-shaded one. The details of the role played by Huma Qureshi in the film is still said to be kept under wraps. The actress, in earlier reports, had expressed her happiness over acting with a superstar like Rajinikanth. She had described him as an inspiring and amazing human being. She had also stated that the entire shoot was a learning experience for her.

This is the second South superstar Huma Qureshi is collaborating with. She had earlier featured opposite Malayalam star Mammootty in a film titled White that released in 2016.

On the Bollywood front, Huma is yet to reveal about her work commitments. The actress recently was in Cannes owing to her association with a liquor brand. During the film festival at the French Riviera, the actress also spoke about sexual harassment and stressed on the need of helping out women who are victims of such crimes.

As for Kaala, directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film is slated to release on June 7.

REVEALED: Amyra Dastur plays the love interest of Rajkummar Rao in the Kangana Ranaut starrer Mental Hai Kya

It is twisty and wacky! That’s what the posters of Mental Hai Kya clearly indicated. Followed by the release of the dark yet quirky posters of Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao from the film, here is another bit of news that will leave you surprised! Amyra Dastur plays the love interest of Rajkummar.

Fans of the film Queen were happy to see the lead pair of the film return in Mental Hai Kya, albeit in a different avatar. But now, it seems amongst the many twists, one is that his romantic interest lies in Amyra. Whether it later falls on Kangana or no, is something only the makers can answer as of now.

However, what we do know is that even though Amyra is not the leading lady of the film, her character is supposed to be quite crucial in the film. Sources close to the actress said, “The story was so intriguing that she [Amyra] said yes to the film right away. All her three films have been announced back to back this year putting her into the list of busiest actors of Bollywood. Amyra slowly and steadily is carving her own path which will surely take her places.”

Speaking on Amyra, we saw the actress last seen in the Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Roy Kapur starrer Kaalakaandi earlier this year. Another film in the pipeline is Leena Yadav’s Rajma Chawal where she plays the rebellious love interest of Rishi Kapoor’s on-screen son. The actress has already completed the shoot of the same.

Recently it was announced that she will be playing the love interest of Ali Fazal in the remake of Telugu super hit film Prasthanam, titled as Prasthaanam in Hindi remake alongside Sanjay Dutt.

As for Mental Hai Kya, the film produced by Ekta Kapoor in association with Shailesh R Singh. It marks the Bollywood directorial debut of Prakash Kovelamudi.

Indra Kumar to direct Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal starrer Hera Pheri 3

Hera Pheri, undoubtedly, is one of the most amazing comedy films of its time. The punch lines, the errors, the casting – all fit perfectly well. Now, the fans of the franchise can rejoice as the Hera Pheri 3 is coming to the big screen next year. Adding more to the good news, the trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal will be reprising their roles in the third installment.

In April 2018, Bollywood Hungama had reported that the trio was all set to return with Hera Pheri 3 but the project was still under works. Though no confirmation was made back then, it has been learned now that the project was locked last month only after the trio gave their dates for the film. According to the latest reports, the film will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule between December 2018 and February 2019. The makers will release the film in the second half of 2019. What’s more interesting is that Total Dhamaal director Indra Kumar will be helming this project.

Masti and Dhamaal fame Indra Kumar confirmed that he is indeed very excited to direct this stellar cast. Kumar took to Twitter and wrote, “This is going to be a fun project with a stellar star cast @akshaykumar @SunielVShetty @SirPareshRawal Looking forward to #HeraPheri3.”

The first film Hera Pheri was the remake of 1989 Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking. It was directed by Priyadarshan and released in 2000. The word of mouth really worked wonders for the film and it became a commercial success. Then, came the second installment Phir Hera Pheri, under a new director Neeraj Vora. The film released in 2006. Vora was also the screenplay writer of the first installment. He had locked in the script for the third film in 2014 and was planning to helm it as well. But, in 2017, after one year in the coma, the filmmaker – actor-writer passed away.

It has been three years since Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan’s romantic comedy, Tanu Weds Manu Returns released and was a superhit. The film not only had a good storyline for a sequel but also had amazing chemistry between the two actors. Now, three years later, R Madhavan has reunited with filmmaker Aanand L Rai for Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero.

As Tanu Weds Manu Returns completes 3 years today, Aanand L Rai took to Twitter to share a selfie with R Madhavan from the sets of Zero. They have reunited after 3 years. He captioned the image, “It’s #3YearsOfTanuWedsManuReturns and feel so happy to shoot with My Maddy our Manu in US for #zero #friendsforever.” According to the reports, R Madhavan reached USA to shoot for his special appearance in Zero. While the actor’s role has been kept under wraps, he will reportedly shoot at some science or tech facility.

R Madhavan has worked with Aanand L Rai on both superhit films- Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel Tanu Weds Manu Returns. This will be their third collaboration as director and actor.

Besides him, Jimmy Sheirgill will also have a cameo in the film. It will also have simply amazing cameos of Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor and Juhi Chawla. This will be the last film of late veteran actress Sridevi. Zero stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead. It will release on December 21, 2018.
