Marvel Studios’ has released a new TV spot for the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp as the titular duo devises a plan to take down new antagonist Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen. Check it out in the player below!

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant-Man and The Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña and Academy Award winner Michael Douglas, who all return to the roles they originated in the 2015 box office hit Ant-Man. Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, Tip “T.I.” Harris and David Dastmalchian also reprise their supporting roles. The highly-anticipated follow-up has also added Academy Award nominees Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne, along with Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins and Randall Park to the ensemble cast.

Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp is directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, Charles Newirth and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. The sequel will open in theaters on July 6, 2018.

Salman Khan collaborates with Banijay Asia for TV and web content

Banijay Group, the production house which has shows like Survivor and Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has collaborated with Salman Khan’s television production house Salman Khan TV to create television and web content.

World’s largest independent content creation group, Banijay Group recently entered Indian & South East Asian market under the guidance of Deepak Dhar with an aim to produce content across genres. Banijay Asia & Salman Khan’s television production house SK TV, which was launched few years back, come together to create novel and stimulating content for TV and web. This partnership will see Banijay Asia through Deepak Dhar and SK TV providing scripted and non-scripted content across the numerous interesting genres for Indian and South East Asian markets.

Commenting on the association, Deepak Dhar, the founder and CEO of Banijay,  said, “I am really looking forward for this association as creating ground-breaking content for India and South East Asia, creating challenging content has been my forte. This is an extremely substantial partnership for us to associate with SK TV. With the emerging shows, in television and digital this collaboration will build our presence in India and South East Asia.”

Salman Khan further adds, “This country is home to various talented people who don’t get a fair chance to prove themselves, we at SK TV not only aim to produce engaging content with our partners like Banijay Group but also provide a fair platform to these young and budding individuals. Honestly, the employment opportunities I can provide on the film front are limited because I am able to do only 1 or maximum 2 films each year. However, SK TV has a broader base where we will be coming up with multiple shows across various genres hence generating better employment opportunities for these hidden talents who aspire to make it big!”

Salman Khan has already been producing films under his banner Salman Khan Films. His latest co-production Race 3 releases this Eid.

Baby-Sitters Club TV series in development

The Baby-Sitters Club is in the process of making its way back to the small screen as Walden Media and Michael De Luca Productions are packaging a TV adaptation for the 2018 marketplace, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The modernized version of the series is being shopped as half-hour episodes.

Based on book series by creator Ann M. Martin, The Baby-Sitters Club is about a group of friends who live in the fictional town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut. The young group of girls run a local babysitting service called the “Baby-Sitters Club.” The books allowed the characters to confront a variety of common problems such as illness, jealousy, sibling rivalry, peer conflicts, and family issues.

The series was published by Scholastic between 1986 and 2000 and has sold about 180 million copies to date. The novels have been adapted before, first with a TV series that aired on HBO in the early 1990’s, and then with the 1995 feature of the same name starring Rachel Leigh Cook, Larisa Oleynik, and Schuyler Fisk. Each character Martin penned for the books are expected to appear in the adaptation.

Lucia Aniello (Broad City) and Rachel Shukert (Glow) are in talks to direct and showrun. De Luca will executive producer, with Walden’s Naia Cucukov and De Luca’s Lucy Kitada overseeing production. Episodes of the series will touch on timely topics, including divorce, racism, and belonging. The show is being billed as a family-friendly series, designed to appeal to kids, teen, and adults.

“As lifelong fans of The Baby-Sitters Club and its enduring messages of entrepreneurialism, empowerment, diversity and most importantly, female friendships, we couldn’t be more thrilled to work on this special project with Rachel and Lucia. We feel incredibly honored that Ann M. Martin has allowed us the chance to introduce the BSC to a new generation of future thought leaders and influencers,” said Cucukov, Walden Media’s senior VP of development and production.

MEGASTAR Mammootty to feature alongside this actress from TV show Diya Aur Baati Hum

While she essayed important roles in TV serials like Diya Aur Baati Hum and Ikkyawann, now actress Prachi Tehlan is all set to make her debut down South. And guess who will star alongside her in her first film? Malayalam megastar Mammootty! Furthermore, the film in question is a period movie titled Mamankam.

Confirming the same, Prachi Tehlan spoke to the media expressing her excitement about working with a veteran like Mammootty. She maintained that she can’t reveal much about her role or the film but stated that it is a wonderful experience. Prachi also asserted that it is the most expensive Malayalam film ever made.

As mentioned before, Mamankam is said to be based on a different time period. The film is set against the backdrop of a medieval fair of the 17^th century that is celebrated every 12 years from 800 AD to 1755 AD. While this is Prachi’s first film down South, the actress has already ventured into other regional films like Punjabi.

On the other hand, megastar and national award winning actor Mammootty has worked with many Bollywood actresses like Juhi Chawla, Katrina Kaif among others and the recent one being with Huma Qureshi. The actress made her Mollywood debut with White which released in 2016.

Interestingly, Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan, on the other hand, is making his Bollywood debut this year with Karwan. He will also feature alongside Sonam Kapoor in the latter’s next The Zoya Factor.
