Marvel Studios’ has released a new TV spot for the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp as the titular duo devises a plan to take down new antagonist Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen. Check it out in the player below!
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant-Man and The Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.
Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña and Academy Award winner Michael Douglas, who all return to the roles they originated in the 2015 box office hit Ant-Man. Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, Tip “T.I.” Harris and David Dastmalchian also reprise their supporting roles. The highly-anticipated follow-up has also added Academy Award nominees Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne, along with Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins and Randall Park to the ensemble cast.
Marvel’sAnt-Man and The Wasp is directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, Charles Newirth and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. The sequel will open in theaters on July 6, 2018.

Abrams, Richard J. Lewis, Roberto Patino, Athena Wickham and Ben Stephenson. Westworld comes from production companies Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series is based on the film written by Michael Crichton.

Disney and Lucasfilm‘s Solo: A Star Wars Story has launched across the galaxy with the studio reporting a weekend estimated total of $83.3 million for the release domestically, factoring in the Memorial Day holiday Disney estimates have the film’s domestic weekend gross at $101 million across the four days. For comparison, the three other Disney/Lucasfilm features, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, have all opened to $247.9 million, $155 million, and $220 million respectively at the domestic box office. Solo also had a lower opening than 2005’s Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, which debuted to $108.4 million. Internationally the film has brought in an estimated $65 million for the weekend, making its three day global total $148 million.
Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Joonas Suotamo. Woody Harrelson Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Ron Howard direct the film.
20th Century Fox‘s Deadpool 2 sliced its way into second place domestically, falling 65% to a total of $43.3 million for the three day weekend and a four day estimated total of $54.5 million. Domestically the film has now brought in $219.2 million, putting it on pace to pass Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine movie Logan ($226 million) by the middle of the week. The sequel still has a ways to go to catch-up to the first film however, which remains the second-highest R-rated film domestically at $363 million. Internationally, Deadpool 2 brought in another $57 million across 27 markets, making its international total $279.7 million and putting its worldwide gross at $498.9 million after the Memorial Day holiday.
The David Leitch-directed film stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy.
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War, continues to put up impressive numbers despite being released a full month prior. The film managed to bring in $16.5 million for the the weekend and has an estimated 4-day weekend total of $20.1 million. Domestically the film’s total now sits at $621.7 million putting it in prime position to pass the first Avengers movie from 2012 in just a matter of days, but Marvel’s Black Panther still has a comfortable lead on Infinity War domestically, standing tall at $698.5 million. Internationally the film added another $32.5 million putting its global total at $1.9 billion, making it the highest grossing MCU film by nearly $400 million.
Paramount’s comedy Book Club, a perfect kind of counter-programming to the superheroes and space scoundrels in theaters, brought in $9.45 million and fell just 30% from its previous weekend. The movie has an estimated 4-day total of $12 million and now sits at a cumulative domestic total of $34.2 million. The film stars Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson with Andy Garcia and Don Johnson. Book Club was written and directed by Bill Holderman.
New Line Cinema‘s comedy Life of the Partydropped just 33% in its weekend to weekend take, bringing in another $5.1 million across the weekend for a domestic total of $35.6 million. The film was directed by Ben Falcone and stars Melissa McCarthy, Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Matt Walsh, Molly Gordon, Stephen Root, and Jacki Weaver.

It’s official: The Expanse renewed by Amazon for Season 4!
While speaking at the National Space Society’s International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles last night, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos confirmed that the streaming service will pick up The Expanse after its cancellation at SYFY.
“I was talking to the cast half an hour ago, before the break for dinner started,”Bezos said. “I was telling them that we are working hard at Amazon to save The Expanse but it wasn’t a done deal yet. During dinner, ten minutes ago, I just got word that The Expanse is saved.”

In the film, a war-hardened Crusader and a Moorish commander mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure. Packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance, Robin Hood is a never before seen story of how Robin Hood became the icon and legend as we know him today.
The cast for the new Robin Hood includes Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie the Eagle) as the title hero, with Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained, Ray) as Little John, Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey) as Will Scarlet, Eve Hewson (Bridge of Spies) as Maid Marion, Tim Minchin (Californication) as Friar Tuck, and Paul Anderson (Peaky Blinders, The Revenant) as Guy of Gisborne.
Described as having a “gritty tone,” the film finds Robin Hood returning from The Crusades to discover a Sherwood Forest rife with corruption and evil. Teaming with a band of outlaws, he takes matters into his own hands to set things right, with very little merry-making along the way.
Otto Bathurst directs from a screenplay by Joby Harold. Robin Hood is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Basil Iwanyk, Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold. It will arrive in theaters on November 21, 2018.

After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, Grey Trace (Logan Marshall-Green) is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will “upgrade” his body. The cure — an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM — gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead.
Upgrade was written and directed by Leigh Whannell and hits theaters on June 1.
The Last Thing He Wanted centers on a hardscrabble journalist named Elena McMahon (Hathaway) who inherits her father’s position as a dealmaker — an arms dealmaker. She soon finds herself on dangerous ground as the Iran-Contra Affair’s arms-for-drugs plot reaches its tipping point.
The film is based on the novel by the same name from author Joan Didion, who is better known for her award-winning autobiographical work including The Year of Magical Thinking and The White Album.
Scott Stuber, the Netflix group head, said: “Dee Rees is an incredibly talented filmmaker who continues to make provocative and entertaining films. We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Dee and proud to have her part of the Netflix family.”
The Last Thing He Wanted will be directed by Rees from the script co-written by her alongside Marco Villalobos. Rees will also produce along with Cassian Elwes. Jamin O’Brien, Wayne Godfrey, and Robert Jones are executive producing.
Principal photography is expected to begin this summer on the feature.
Alyson Hannigan, Connie Ray, Todd Stashwick & more join Kim Possible movie
Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother) and Connie Ray (The Big C) have been cast in the live-action Disney Channel original movie Kim Possible, based on the global hit animated series about an everyday high school girl who, in her spare time, saves the world from villains. Hannigan is set to play the role of brain surgeon Dr. Ann Possible (aka Mom Possible) and Ray will play grandmother Nana Possible.
Also joining the cast are Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys) and Taylor Ortega who will play fan-favorite villains Drakken and Shego, respectively; Ciara Wilson (OMG!) as new high school student Athena; and Erika Tham (Make It Pop) as Kim’s childhood frenemy, Bonnie. They join the previously announced leads, Sadie Stanley as Kim Possible and Sean Giambrone as Ron Stoppable.
The animated comedy-adventure series launched in 2002 and centered on a strong teenager who uses her brain, heart, and expertise to save the day. Throughout 87 episodes, Kim Possible traversed the social hierarchy of high school and, with her loyal sidekick Ron Stoppable and his naked mole-rat Rufus by her side, thwarted power-hungry villains Drakken and Shego, among others. It inspired two popular animated original movies, Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama in 2005, which was the first animated title in the Disney Channel original movie franchise, and Kim Possible: A Stitch in Time in 2003.
Viewers’ connection to Kim Possible also led to an off-TV franchise, including Kim Possible and Rob Stoppable characters at Disney Parks & Resorts and a line of Kim Possible branded consumer products at mass retail, soundtracks, books and games.
The Emmy Award-winning series garnered additional accolades from the Parents’ Choice Foundation, the International Animated Film Society’s Annie Awards and Italy’s Pulcinella Award for Best Program and Best TV Series for Children.
The writers of the Kim Possible live-action movie are the creators of the animated series, Emmy Award-winning Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley (Big Hero 6 The Series, The Penguins of Madagascar) and Josh Cagan (The DUFF, Bandslam). The executive producers are McCorkle, Schooley, and Zanne Devine, whose producing credits include I, Tonya and Easy A. The movie will be co-directed and co-produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky (Mech-X4). Blyth Nailling (Last Man Standing, Scrubs) is the casting director.
Hannigan can also be heard as the voice of Fancy Nancy’s mom, Claire Clancy, in Disney Junior’s upcoming animated series Fancy Nancy, based on the New York Times bestselling books.
